What is Internet?

The term Internet drived from two words i.e INTERCONNECTION and Network. Inter refers to which medium we use for connecting devices each other and Network refers to which topology used for connecting devices to each other.

Internet also know as NET. NET is a Network of Networks where each network consist of multiple number of devices connected through Guided media or Un-Guided media enabling them to communicate and shares files and other resources.

Factors of Networks

1. Sharing
   • Resources Sharing like printer,memory etc
   • File Sharing

NOTE:-

Some organisation have their own networks.Those networks are exclusively maintained by the organisation themself these types of networks are know as Intranet.It is used for the communicate and sharing of resources within the orgranisation.
